Mulberry Basil Margarita

serves one


1/4 cup mulberries (can substitute blackberries or boysenberries)

2 basil leaves

2 tablespoons brown sugar

3 ounces reposado tequila

1 ounce grand mariner

1 ounce fresh lemon juice

Club soda

salt/sugar mixture for rim*

Prepare your glass:

Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass. Dip in the sugar mixture and fill with ice.

In a shaker, combine mulberries, basil and brown sugar and muddle. Add tequila, grand

mariner, lemon juice and ice and shake to combine.

Strain into the prepared glass. Top with a splash of club soda

Salt/Sugar mix:

Combine 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon paprika.
