We have been raising funds and awareness for SCBR for many years. Bulldogs have become so very popular in the past 10 years (and are quite expensive), but often people buy them thinking they can breed them and make a bunch of money…what they don’t realize is that, like many specific breeds, English Bulldogs require a certain amount of special care. So many people “backyard breed” their dogs then dump them after their breeding years are over. It is amazing how many end up in shelters in Southern California. Recently SCBR has expanded its network into San Diego to fill a need for an English Bulldog rescue group in the area.
