Honey Chili Shrimp
Honey Chili Shrimp
serves 6-8 (as an appetizer)

I recently discovered crushed calabrian chili…it is soooooo good….but very spicy! I find mixing it
with an equal amount of honey cuts the heat and makes a very tasty sweet-hot condiment.
One of my favorite uses is on pizza, but is equally great on a cheese plate!

1 pound large shrimp (16-20 shrimp per pound size)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
2-3 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons crushed calabrian chili

Combine honey and chili in small bowl and set aside.

In a medium skillet over med-high heat melt butter and olive oil together. Add garlic and saute
about 30 seconds, add shrimp in one layer. Cook shrimp about a minute, then turn over and
cook until opaque..for a total of about 3 minutes. Reduce heat to low.
Add honey/chili mixture, stir to combine and warm through.

Serve with toasted baguette.
Note: this would be great served as an entree over rice.
