1 ounce lavender simple syrup*
2 ounces lemon juice
2 ounces vodka
salt/sugar mixture for rim*
Prepare your glass:
Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a martini glass. Dip in the sugar mixture.
In a shaker combine the simple syrup, lemon juice, vodka and ice. Shake to combine.
Strain into prepared glass.
Lavender Simple Syrup
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
6 sprigs lavender
Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan, simmer and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Remove from heat, add lavender, let steep for 20-30 minutes. Strain out lavender and store in a
sealed container in fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Combine 1 tablespoon chunky sugar and 1 tablespoon coarse salt.
this can be served on the rocks..in fact, I think is better that way!
