Lavender Simple Syrup and Lavender Vanilla Martini

Lavender Simple Syrup

makes about 1 cup

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

6-7 lavender sprigs, just top part with flowers

In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat. Simmer and stir until sugar

has dissolved. Remove from heat and add lavender sprigs. Steep approximately 30 minutes.

Pull lavender sprigs out and store syrup in sealed container in the refrigerator. Will keep for up

to 2 weeks.

Lavender Vanilla Martini

serves one

1 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka*

3/4 ounce lemon juice

1/2 ounce lavender simple syrup*

In a shaker combine vanilla vodka, lemon juice and lavender syrup. Add

ice…shake..shake..shake. Strain into martini glass and garnish with a lavender sprig.
