Lemon Verbena Whiskey Sour

I originally discovered lemon verbena in cocktail at a hotel in Kirkland, Washington. I replicated
the cocktail in my Lulu Lemon Sour. Here we are using the lemon verbena in a simple syrup.
Just go to your nursery and buy a lemon verbena plant..they are with the fresh herbs.
2 ounces bourbon
1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 ounce honey lemon verbena syrup*
1 egg white
lemon zest

In a shaker combine bourbon, lemon juice, lemon verbena syrup and
egg white..shake..shake..shake! Add ice to shaker, shake briefly. Strain into martini or coupe
glass. Garnish with fresh lemon zest on top.
Lemon Verbena Honey Syrup

1/2 cup honey

Combine water and honey in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until honey melts.
Remove from heat and add lemon verbena leaves. Let steep 30 minutes. Strain and store in
