I call this a Poolside Paloma because I first tried it “poolside”! It was blended, but oh, so tasty
and refreshing! I decided to serve it over crushed ice instead to still give it the “blended” quality,
but less chance for a “brain freeze” when you drink it too fast..which you will!!
3 ounces reposado or blanco tequila
2 ounces fresh pink grapefruit juice
1.5 ounces Giffard pink grapefruit liqueur(shhhh….this is the secret ingredient)
squeeze of lime
splash of La Croix grapefruit soda (club soda will work, too)
kosher salt, for rim
Prepare your glass. Rub the rim of a rocks glass with lime and then dip in salt to coat the rim.
Fill the glass with crushed ice. This will work with cubes, but is SOOOO much better with
crushed, so take the extra step if you can!
In a shaker, without ice, combine the tequila, juice, grapefruit liqueur and the squeeze of lime,
shake to combine. Pour into prepared glass and top with a splash of soda.
