Smoky Sunset Margatini

Smokey Sunset Margatini

serves one

2 ounces tequila

1/2 ounce mezcal

1 1/2 ounces fresh pink grapefruit juice

1 1/2 ounces fresh orange juice

1/2 ounce habanero simple syrup*

squeeze of half a lime

Coat the rim of a martini glass with salt.

Place all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice…shake, shake, shake. Strain into prepared glass

and garnish with a slice of lime.

Habanero Simple Syrup

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

1/2 of a habanero

Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan, simmer and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Remove from heat, add habanero, let steep for 20-30 minutes. Remove chili and store syrup in

fridge for up to 2 weeks.
