Strawberry Mint Julep

4 sliced strawberries

6 torn mint leaves

2 tablespoons mint simple syrup*

1/2 ounce lemon juice

3 ounces Crooked Fox bourbon

Place strawberries, mint, simple syrup and lemon juice in shaker and muddle until well

combined. Add bourbon and ice…shake, shake, shake!

Strain into rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a skewered strawberry.

Mint Simple Syrup

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

small bunch mint leaves

Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan, simmer and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Remove from heat, add mint, let steep for 20 minutes. Remove mint and store syrup in fridge for

up to 2 weeks.
